S3 | E16 - New Zoning Map & Park Street User Agreements

This week's minute has a VERY special guest you'll have to tune in to meet. This episode is quite short, as was the meeting. We adopted the new zoning map, as required to do annually, and we enacted the Park Street User Agreements (spoiler alert: No increase in cost to the businesses).

This week we're looking at a new development proposed for Mundelein's Plaza Circle. The board agreed to a term sheet which will hopefully lead to further agreements and new apartments, commercial space, and townhomes on our Plaza Circle! Let's talk liquor control commission and the sale of alcohol to minors. Over the past 12-18 months the Village of Mundelein has seen an increase in the sales of alcohol to those under 21 - in some cases even being sold by minors to minors. We're addressing it this week with an increase to our fines. Not just an increase but doubling them! This week we're also excited to welcome our new Finance Director, Linda Miller! We also discuss ethics, variances, SSA, bill payment, and more!

We though it would be beneficial to explain the process, how it's not personal but rather upholding election integrity, and is a normal part of running for office. S3 | E9 - More than 2000+ Homes on over 740 Acres Proposed for Mundelein

What a night! This week the Village Board heard a presentation from developers who've been working closely with the Wirtz family to create a unique neighborhood that'll be the first of it's kind in Illinois! With more than 2,000 homes of different types with design elements not seen to in today's developments, Ivanhoe Village is proposed with Traditional Neighborhood Designs (TND) to create a walkable and community feel.
